These pre-release privacy details describe the Notes Pro Android implementation reviewed on October 30, 2026. They are subject to verification against the final published build before use as a production privacy policy.
1. Overview
Notes Pro is a local-first Android application for writing notes, creating checklists, recording voice memos and attaching media or documents. The current source does not implement an in-app account, a remote notes server or app-managed cloud synchronization. You can use the core note features without creating an account.
This page reflects the current source, not an independently audited production release. Features and data practices must be reviewed again before Google Play publication.
2. Information kept on your device
Notes Pro stores titles, note text, rich-text formatting, checklist items, notebook names, note colors and paper styles, favorite/archive/trash flags, modification timestamps and references to attachments in a JSON file within its private app storage. Appearance preferences such as theme, display mode, text size, motion and layout are saved in local Android preferences.
The app does not need you to submit a name, email address or password to use these features.
3. Microphone and voice notes
When you choose to record a voice note, Notes Pro requests the Android microphone permission. A recorded clip is saved locally as an audio file with related waveform information so that it can be played in the app. The microphone permission is used for this user-initiated recording feature; it is not required for ordinary text notes.
You can review or revoke microphone permission through your device's Android app settings.
4. Photos, videos, audio and files
When you select attachments using Android's file picker, the app copies selected content into its private files directory and associates the copied file with your note. These copies are separate from the original files you selected. Image and video previews, audio playback and file-opening actions are handled on the device, sometimes using compatible apps you have installed.
Removing an attachment from a note removes its association in the note; the current implementation does not guarantee immediate deletion of every previously imported file copy. Avoid treating the in-app remove button as a secure file-erasure function.
5. Sharing note content
The note editor includes a Share text action. It sends a note's title, body and checklist text through Android's standard share chooser to an app or service that you select. Attachments are not automatically included in that plain-text action. A receiving app's own privacy policy applies when you choose to share with it.
6. Android backup and device transfer
Although Notes Pro has no in-app cloud sync, its current Android manifest permits operating-system backup. On supported devices, Android or your device manufacturer's backup/transfer services may back up or restore eligible app data depending on system settings. This is different from app-managed synchronization and is outside Notes Pro's direct control.
Review your device's backup and restore settings if you want to manage this behavior. Do not assume uninstalling the app deletes independently retained system backups.
7. Note removal and data deletion
Notes Pro supports moving notes to Trash and restoring them. The reviewed version represents Trash as a local note state; it does not provide a verified permanent-erasure workflow for individual notes and all related media copies. You can also discard unsaved editing changes.
Uninstalling the application ordinarily removes its private local app data from the device, subject to Android system backups, restores and any copies you separately shared or saved through other applications. If a backup exists, manage it through your Android or backup provider's settings.
8. Accounts, advertising and third-party services
In the current reviewed app source there is no required login, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or app-managed web service for notes. Core notes do not require an internet permission. Platform components such as Android system backup, permission dialogs, file pickers and shares may involve services outside the app, governed by their own terms and settings.
9. Security and limitations
Note files and imported media are kept in Android app-private storage, which provides the protection normally enforced by the operating system and your device lock. The current implementation does not add dedicated end-to-end encryption or a separate in-app passcode. For sensitive personal information, use your device security features and consider the implications of system backup and sharing.
10. Children's information
Notes Pro is a general-purpose note-taking app and is not designed to gather personal information about children. The current implementation does not create child profiles or an in-app user account.
11. Contact and changes
Questions about Notes Pro's data handling may be sent to seedlingappstudio@gmail.com. This pre-release information will be checked and updated before publication if features or data flows change.
